You're looking for LDAP. Directory Services are used to create a repository (secured with a password defined at the time the repository is created) where the system/profile relationships are maintained. There is a redbook (a little dated perhaps) that covers the process fairly well...

Subject: kerberos table maint question

Someone had set up Kerberos on our iseries (520 5.4) which works with our MS
servers. There is a table somewhere where you maintain all the profiles for
the iseries and the servers. I am looking for where this table is
maintained. I thought it was a web interface, but not sure.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.
