You did say "long-term". End of life for the 270 is V5R4M5 anyway. We upgraded our 270 to V5R4M5, unloaded it to a M25 and upgraded that to V6R1. Hey, if it can't run the latest I don't even want it for home use.I use it for V5R4 support. It can go back to V5R2, and it can run just about anything I need for developing multi-tiered applications (there just wasn't that much in V6R1 as far as RPG goes). The next box I get for long-term usage will be a V6R2 box... that will be able to compile back to the V5R4 box.
