Brad:

You might want to post this to the java-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx mail list.

The classes you are using might be ending without leaving any messages.
For example

try {
int i = 17/0;
System.out.println("17/0 is " + i);
} catch (Exception e) {
System.exit(1);
}

That would bomb without a trace (divide by zero) and put the java ended
with exit code 1 in the job log. There would not be any output to find,
nothing written to stdout or stderr.

Brad

Are you doing this out of RPG? Or CL? I'll take a stab with my limited
knowledge.

In WDSC there's a nifty wizard for creating prototypes to Java stuff -
maybe give that a try.

Errors and all are usually found in a QPRINT spooled file, not in the
job log. So maybe look there.

I'm doing some testing on an application that uses a couple Java
Classes.

Right now I'm testing bombing due to class not found errors. But, it
seems
all I get in the job log is:

Java program completed with exit code 1

There seems to be no extended help at all. I'm expecting a class not
found
error, but seeing nothing. Any ideas?
