Try something like this:

telnet mailserver 25
ehlo
auth login
BASE64 encoded username
BASE64 encoded password
mail from: foo@xxxxxxx
rcpt to: bar@xxxxxxx
data

.

Base64 encoder: http://makcoder.sourceforge.net/demo/base64.php

I am using TELENT to manually send an email to a mail server

the commands HELO, MAIL FROM:, RCPT TO: etc. etc.

However the mail server requires authentication and I cannot
find
the format for sending the user and password.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
