Well, you can; and you can do it successfully if it goes well.

You just can't be sure about it when it misses something due to character encoding.

There's no way to know if similar issues could be seen with other file types. There's no way to know if other issues exist with a SQL Server database unless you run across them by accident.

IOW, it's pretty much the same as any other 'modern' OS.
