I'm not a JDE expert but it's my understanding that there's a difference
between using a module and being entitled to use a module. What TomorrowNow
was supposed to do before transferring a customer off Oracle Support was to
take a copy of everything the customer was entitled to. Once a customer's
Oracle Support contract ran out they wouldn't just lose out on updates but
access to the modules they were entitled to.

like TomorrowNow was using customer A's account to steal IP for the benefit
of customers B, C, D, etc.

That seems more like a cautionary story that could happen to anyone not
being careful about enforcing procedures.
