   I use Mochasoft's Mocha TN5250.  It works OK for the occasional use like
   you describe.  You can build in a logon script that simplies that
   process.  Take a look at 
http://www.mochasoft.dk/.
   The idea of data entry on a Treo is quite funny. :-)
