FTP and SSL What am I missing

A client of mine had their Certificates for a site expire. They are 
using it to do Secure FTP and it has been working fine until the certs 
expired. I have  removed the old certs, added the new certs and assigned 
them to the FTP Client via the DCM. We started out with just 2 certs and 
I was getting a -23 error when attempting *SSL connection from the 400 
to the offsite server. The vendor as provide 2 additional certs and now 
I have all 4 certs assigned to the FTP client but I'm still getting -23.

If there a log somewhere that will give me more detailed errors etc? 
Anyone know what I'm for getting to do?
