I have to call IBM on this, but it looks like my aborted i5/OS install
on the BCS JS12 has trashed my VIOS partition. ( got as far as loading
the 2nd i5/OS DVD - at which point I lost my LAN console and IVM
reported the SRC as "B600 0414 - install of OS failed on read from
media."

The AMM reports all system go, the JS12 is powered on, get the initial
white background IBM display on the system console. Problem is, I
cant connect to the IVM thru the browser and there are no AIX boot
messages on the console, with the final logon to VIOS prompt. Just a
blinking green cursor.

in general, how can I use the AMM to test VIOS for signs of life?

I guess I can figure out how to reinstall VIOS,

Assuming I have an IVM connection, how to restart the i5/OS install?
Delete the partition maybe?

thanks,
