I used to test the ups by flipping the breaker controlling the UPS. I did
that once with a new guy (with some years in him) and he darn near ran
from the room out of fear. And he was a Vietnam combat veteran.
I stopped doing that after breaking that rack switch. I started thinking
about how I would recover if the breaker switch snapped. Thought about
getting a spare and keeping it right above the breaker box. Of course,
I'd have to figure out how to play electrician danged fast as our regular
electricians couldn't get here fast enough (especially if they knew HOW it
broke).
