Did you try to install the option from your 6.1 DVDs?

Subject: Encrypted Backup Enablement

Hi all -

We have upgraded to V6R1 and would like to test the encrypted backup
capabilities of BRMS at this release.

In the BRMS manual it says, "To use the encryption function, you need to
have the BRMS Advanced feature (5761-BR1 Option 2) and Cryptographic
Service Provider (5761-SS1 Option 35) installed on the operating
system."

We have those, but unfortunately 5761SS1 option 44, Encrypted Backup
Enablement also appears to be required. Our BP tells me that this is
not a "No Additional Charge" option. Per the BP: Encrypted
backup/encrypted enablement, DB2 Symmetric Multiprocessing and
OptiConnect are billable software features. There is not a "try before
you buy" option.

I was under the impression that there was a 70 day evaluation period
available with all the IBM keyed compliance products. Is that
incorrect?
