Unless they are at the fanboy stage, most linux people I have known are very
open-minded about non-Microsoft solutions. Just give them the facts. Don't
embellish on the facts.

What should you emphasize?
Security (by obscurity)
Stability
Admin Overhead (or lack thereof)
Application Flexibility (RPG, Java, Perl, PHP) and the application
contectivity outside of the system
