My concern is that there is a misrepresentation of EGL.
This seems to be as close to an issue as you can manufacture, so let's
dissect it, shall we?
I say Java EE is a great platform for multi-tiered applications using
RPG business logic, and that EGL is a great way to generate Java EE
applications without having to learn the Java language. Not even the
slightest bit of misrepresentation there, especially since I've been
saying the exact same Java EE message for nearly a decade now. I've
simply upgraded my toolset.
Your moral justification for these unending attacks is based on a
self-proclaimed "concern for the iCommunity". Nobody in our community
is hurt by my raising awareness of EGL. The only people who could
possibly be hurt by my promotion of EGL are companies who sell competing
tools - companies like BCD and lookSoftware. Companies you endorse.
People can draw their own conclusions. Me, I think your attacks on EGL
spring entirely from naked mercenary interest combined with your nearly
pathological vendetta against me.
Note that I am in no way suggesting that the companies you endorse are
promoting or condoning your acts - the folks at those companies are
smart enough to realize that people will pick the best tool, and that
there is room for many different solutions.
No, that's just what you get with Trevor.
