Yeah I missed the Qry/400 requirement in the OP.  

I wonder if the Qry/400 replacement can utilize service programs.  While
it may not be the easiest thing for a user to do, it would be cool if
the functionality was there.

Kurt's suggestion was to use a service program to calculate the dollar
amounts.  In that instance the dollar amount would not be available to
Query/400.
