For my tests, I have used a PC5250 printer emulation session. When
configuring the printer session, there is a Setup button: I changed the
following there (My version of iSeries Access is in French, so the wording
may not be exact.)
In the Convert Printer data section, check Conversion of printer data on
the iSeries host (this will enable the other fields in the section)
In printer Model, select *WSCST (you could also enter the model you used
as your base when creating the WSCST)
The last two fields of the section is where you enter the WSCST name and
library.
If you want to create a device for a printer on the LAN, the following
document from IBM gives the details
http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.NSF/acf2ee1e9d64b16e8625680b00020389/00e3c3d5af21afa6862565c2007d437f?OpenDocument
The parameter where we specify the configuration we created is the
Workstation Customizing Object (WSCST). This is one case where we don't
enter *NONE, but the name of our WSCST.
Hope this helps.
Thierry.
