"brat"? Is that the best you can do?
You don't like me--fine, I don't like you either. Your not liking me
gives me not one iota of concern.
Being chastised by THE most one-eyed, bigoted, arrogant, and often
wrong-headed motor-mouth on this list is rich. I'd say it was ironic
but American's so frequently don't get irony. Here's an example: The
nation that considers itself the capitalist engine of the world is
considering socialism to bail out its banking sector. That's ironic.
Mighty Joe Pluta: self-appointed defender of what exactly? It's not
as if your append was intended for me. You are well aware of how
little value I place on your opinion. So you're just grandstanding
(again) while you wait for the chorus of "Hear Hears", "Amens", and
"Well saids". (Evidence tendered in support of the arrogant
accusation, M'Lud.)
I should have known better than to question stupidity in front of
people who obviously worship it. The nation that gave supreme
executive power to George Wanker--one of the most stupid men on the
planet. Not once but TWICE! Now that's stupid. The nation that gave
us so-called "reality" television. The nation that is consuming
itself out of resources. The nation that expects us to believe the
war in Iraq is about terrorism. Etc. Individually I have met many
fine American's but collectively ... no wonder the world hates you.
You should review many of your own posts with the same filter you
apply to mine. You'll find many of them exhibit a lack of civility,
contain the "how" of which you accuse me, and are boorish. I see
little evidence of the so-called "new" Joe Pluta you've been crapping
on about so much lately.
Condescension however is a different matter. The thing I like most
about the English language is a given word has so many shades of
meaning. I'll take the meaning as "Affability to one's
inferiors" (from the Shorter Oxford published 1973). I don't think I
am affable but I thank you for the praise.
I could go on but then someone might think I gave a toss what you
think. Of those on this list whose opinion actually carries some
weight with me you are not a member.
I'm done, you can have the last word since you are so fond of it.
