So you're saying the only thing that ever fails is disks ?

It's one thing when a customer chooses to do this and you can't do much
about it.

It's quite another when you are promoting this as good or even reasonable
advice.

How many ordinary customers can support a box like you claim to be able to ?

I've had calls from people who were advised this was a viable approach. It
ain't pretty when the kaka hits the AMD.

Damn straight. F-----' A. Or as Gaby Johnson put it, "Rarebitz!"

When our D02 quit, there wasn't much I could do about it. But our 200, 40S,
170s (both slim and fat), and 510 have never once failed in a way I couldn't
fix. MYSELF. (It's been a decade since we had a technician out to work on
anything.) The damn things are easier to fix than our WinDoze boxes are. And
we keep spare drives to fit everything that actually gets used on site.
