I have QCMD set as initial program in my user profile, so my call stack
looks like this just after login:
QCMD QSYS
1 QCMD QSYS
Then if I need a menu, I type GO MAIN. I usually work with display
detailed messages on. I've never found a way to get there without
hitting F10.

Subject: Re: questions on QCMD
1 - You would have to look at the "call stack"
CALL QCMD
DSPJOB
11. Display call stack, if active
Type Program
QCMD QSYS
QUICMENU QSYS
1 QUIMNDRV QSYS
2 QUIMGFLW QSYS
3 QUICMD QSYS
4 QCMD QSYS
There are API's to do this.
2 - Odd, I would consider QCMD an "api" however it's totally
undocumented in Infocenter.
DSPPGM on it does reveal this:
Number of parameters . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 0
There might be some hidden obsure ini file or some such thing, but I
wouldn't hold your breath.

questions on QCMD
List,
1) Is there a way to determine (from a CL program) if the currently
running
interactive session is running QCMD? (I checked values returned by
RTVJOBA
but didn't see an appropriate one)
2) Is there a way to invoke QCMD and force it to "Include detailed
messages
(F10)"?
TIA
