I tried this solution, and it worked.

Thanks

Michael

Leave out the middle part. As long as .jpg is registered on your pc to
opened with the image viewer, ShellExec will find the program for you.
So just do this:

'STRPCCMD PCCMD('rundll32 Shell32,ShellExec_RunDLL
"/Home/SMITHJM/pictestB.jpg"') PAUSE(*NO)

It will have to find your jpg. Make sure /Home is something the PC can
find.

The following command string fails after being processed via QCMDEXC to
my pc.

The failure is reported as a pc gray dialog box with the
"C:\Window\system32\shingvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen" not found.

I am trying to launch the the Window picture and fax viewer application.

Any ideas on how to over come this issue would be appreciated.

VAL CmdString

MDSTRING =

....5...10...15...20...25...30...35...40...45...50...55...60

1 'STRPCCMD PCCMD('rundll32 Shell32,ShellExec_RunDLL "C:\Window'

61 's\system32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen" "/Home/SMITHJM/'

121 'pictestB.jpg"') PAUSE(*NO)
