Sorry if I missed something as I got into this at this message.  There's a
free utility for the iSeries that shows the IP address of the clients
attached the iSeries.

It's called SHOWIP and works great.  You can sort by IP or UserID.  You can
get it here :

You only see the MAC of PCs that are in the same VLAN as your i5.
Unless you're a very small shop, servers are usually in a separate VLAN from
clients. And if WAN connections are involved, there is simply no way to see
the MAC.
