There are people at IBM who despise the whole Midrange concept, and
done so from the day the folks in Rochester decided to build a realX,
computer, instead of the new-and-improved plugboard-programmable unit
record machine they'd been told to build. That's why they've been
changing names more often than some people change socks. That's why,
instead of improving the 5250 data stream until it was on a par with
(which was well within reach in the InfoWindow II era), they abandoned
it entirely.
