You can also do a BATTERYINFO -LIST to see all the applicable resources
(i.e. those that have cache batteries). It's possible that the V5R1 system
isn't using any controllers that have battery powered cache...

I followed the instruction at faq.midrange.com to check the cache
battery pack on a v5r1 system.
It worked fine and I see a report.

I follow the same instructions on a twin v5r1 system and the report
comes up blank:
