I agree on that one... to get into a multi-ASP setup for the reason of the
original post is the wrong direction to take for the problem they had.
Some type of management tool is needed to prevent a similar problem, but I
think a way better reason is needed to get into the management of multiple
ASPs.   (out of the ordinary app setup, very specific test/development
concerns, very heavy journaling performance requirements, etc.).

Hi James

You've said this twice now. ASP's like anything else require some care and
feeding but there is nothing intrinsically harmful about them.

What kind of "bit" are you referring to that wouldn't happen without an ASP
?
