Depends a lot on what you're trying to do. Are you trying to update the
database on i with activity from the warehouse system? Are you trying to
put transactions from the i, such as customer order pick lists to the
warehouse system?
If your warehouse system uses MS-SQL Server as the database you have a
lot of options. MS-SQL server has a DRDA component so you can include
the files on your i as part of your MS-SQL database and update them
directly with your warehouse system, if you choose. Another possibility
would be to include triggers on your SQL server tables and update the i
database. You could also capture the journals from one system and apply
them on the other.
Capturing the transactions on one system and FTP'ing them to the other
is just one possibility.
