Have you tested your backup plan by doing a restore to make sure everything

works?

Yes, I have.

Frankly, "cloud computing" scares me. When I lose control of my data to
some cloud somewhere in time and space I tend to get nervous.

Would you consider an off-site backup? Do you use an external tape
archiving service?
Except for nuances, it is really the same. You trust your data to someone else.

Sure, there are other risks than in your current situation. Mind you,
I don't think that there are more risks, just that there are others.
This new situation forces you to revamp your risk strategy.
