Hi,

NO, you can't create an index over more than one table, that means it is not
possible to create an index with key fields from 2 tables (not even in
Release 6.1)

Betreff: SQL index possible with keys from two tables?

Last I knew, this wasn't possible but wanted to make sure I didn't miss
something.

A join LF in DDS only supports key fields from a single file. Is it
possible yet in SQL at V5R4 to create an index with keys from two tables? I
suspect no, because running under debug the optimizer messages aren't
recommending an index I don't have. But I wanted to make sure...
