Tomasz,

I have done something similar by creating a User Defined Function to 
convert from one UM to another.  My routine specifically is based upon 
each item's UM being converted to Square Footage, but you should be able 
to adapt it for your usage.  The file in question is the F41002.  You 
might be able to just join to it and obtain your conversions that way.
