Doesn't SQL run in the QDBSRV* jobs?

Well, I admitted in that I wished I knew more.

And the JVM is part of the LIC,
so it probably uses the *MACHINE pool.

I'm not using Java. But as I think about it, RPG programs run in a virtual machine too, and I don't know exactly what resources the native virtual machine may be using. But about 10 years ago I was installing a reservation system at a hotel and noticed that the AS/400 had only 96 meg, total. And it was hosting about 30 terminals. That blew me away, too.
