Heard of a local company here that had restore issues this week. After 6
attempts to install lic from tape (booting from tape was no problem) they
gave up after the hangs. Ended up installing LIC from CD. Everything
else from their tapes, and reinstalling cume and other ptf's. Two disk
drives in the same raid set died within 24 hours of each other. Same box
(so it wasn't a resave or M5 issue).
After multiple trips from senior executives into the machine room offering
expletives because orders could not be taken. (Down from Saturday through
Tuesday.)
They are looking at an HA solution.
