Hi all,

We had a near disaster last week when someone on our development machine created a DDMF that linked to a very important file on our production system and messed up the data. We spend the next 36 hours fixing and verifying our fix. Tomorrow we will have a postmortem on this problem and attempt to prevent this happening again.

My questions has to do with changing how the DDM links to the destination file. I know that a job is started using QUSER on the destination system that handles all the communication between the two systems. What I would like to do is change the user profile that the DDM uses when it creates the job. This way we can limit the authority of the DDM without changing QUSER. Can this be done? I am attempting to see if there is anything in the V5R4 manuals that can tell me about DDM but I find that a near impossible task. I can never find what I need from the website.

Thanks, in advance for all your help.

Marvin
