I believe Domino routes all SMTP email through the mail.box file, so
using Domino SMTP would use the mail.box file for queueing outbound
emails.

If I did do that, would it be using the mail.box of domino? For
instance
would it then allow me to see the mail in there if comm to the outside
world was down, or, does it simply relay through there and not use the
mail.box? If so, that would be changing for something more "modern"
with
no additional tracking.
