I don't have an objection to paying for a membership (although I confess to
not being a member) but I do find the posting of links that require a paid
membership to look at annoying. Especially when you find out after you've
clicked on the link.

Scott (for one) generally notes in his emails that a pro-VIP membership is
required which I find to be a reasonable compromise.

It always surprises me when posters here express dismay that articles
require a ProVIP membership.

If you make $50k a year, a membership is equivalent to 6hrs of your
time. Is that really so hard to justify?

Honestly, I pay for mine out of my own pocket. It's easier and that
way the everything is mine.
