Why not write a little VB or C# program to read the RS232 port and then
you could write the data to an iSeries file with the Client Access DB
Driver or another third party tool.

If you need programming assistance, feel free to contact me or one of my
salespeople directly.

Otherwise this could be a good learning experience if you have the time.
