But evidently he figured something out because he did remark that they now 
know it was an initial program.  However I don't suspect it was an initial 
program in the DSPUSRPRF sense of the word because, as many of us figured 
out, that's easily overcome.  The person who did the DSPMSGD gave me a 
clue.  Sounds like a ROUTING entry.

is the default.  He probably changed that.
Now, if they mucked up both QCTL and QINTER (which it sounds like it if 
you can't use the console - which I normally leave alone) they could try 
either fixing both (and any other subsystem) or try changing system value 
QCTLSBSD to QBASE or some such thing - providing it's routing entries 
haven't been hosed up.  Which, you should be able to IPL manual into 
something dedicated and change the system value.  I think this is what he 
was asking.
