The before-image data may appear in a R-DL entry even when only
logging after-image data. There is another attribute [another column in
the output file; JOFLAG] as an indicator that there is a before-image
present; i.e. denotes if the data will be there. The database may
choose to keep the data in the log for recovery purposes; e.g. for
commitment control. I believe at least one other case involves
referential integrity; i.e. for which the data must remain for recovery,
and thus is logged. As long as the entry data appears when the entry
activity was performed under commitment control or when the indicator
explicitly denotes the data will be there [regardless that the data
might not normally be visible when logging only *AFTER] and that the
data is not there when the flag is off, the assumption should be that
the data is being saved for a purpose.
