Another way that might work better than calling a program is use a Stored
Procedure to access your data. The stored procedure would just be an SQL
statement in an RPG program that you could set your overrides before before
running the SQL statement.

I did all my Crystal reports with Stored Procedures. That way I could test
the data access independent of the report.
