Lukas;
I wasn't knocking frameworks, I have built many of my own, I was taking exception to the continual knocking of IBM for not providing everything Steve thinks he wants IBM to provide.
There are things I wish IBM would provide, and things that they have provided that I don't need/want. I can wish and belly ache all I want on this list, and others, but IBM won't hear it, unless some IBMer on the list passes it on.
So if there was something stuck in my craw, like there seems to be in Steve's. I would write a paper/proposal/design specs, whatever and get it to IBM through channels, and out to the community to get as many IBM customers requesting the improvement as possible. Instead of spreading a thin veneer of i bashing throughout my postings.
Sorry Steve I'm just having a bad day, and I am tired of hearing how bad the IBM i is.

belly ach that IBM did it all for me. :-)
The purpose of frameworks is to minimize the time developers spend on reinventing the wheel, and can instead focus on improving your business itself.
