Method 1: Inefficient, but still used by many.
Store the date range in a one row work table. Join the work table to your
'real' table instead of using record selection to pick the dates. Change
the data in the work table when the date range changes.
Method 2: Use a variable

Method 3: Use real date fields and set up work fields if your range can
be calculated from current date, a date in the file or some such thing.
Like from 30 days ago to current date.
