New defect support is not included. For example, if you find a new way
that an MCH.... error occurs and there isn't something that anyone
couldn't search for in the internet and find it in a ptf cover letter and
simply download that then IBM is not going to generate a new ptf to fix
it.
Actually the V4R5 extension and the V5R1 extension both end July 1, 2009.
Don't forget, this involves the SPENDMONEY command for such minimalistic
support. Better to upgrade.
