Okay, I gather that purchase orders are still a mainstay, given the responses on the list. And I'm aware that a PO system may feed an EDI system. On the other hand, it seems that the Internet is being used more and more in B2B as well as B2C transactions.

It seems that the legal aspects could be a little different with Purchase Orders vs Purchase Cards. Purchase Orders form legally-binding, once-off contracts between buyers and sellers when accepted by sellers, if properly formed. But Purchase Cards involve a 3rd party bank. What if a Purchase Card is lost or stolen?
