Frank,

Take a look at Arcad Software. They are the strongest competitor to MKS
these days. They have a very cool new tool called Critical Data Management
(CDM) - change management for your data.

My advice to people wanting to choose between SLM vendors (Software
Lifecycle Management) is to narrow the field down to the final two or three
- and if it is a close call, then phone their support team and chat. These
will be the most important people once you purchase the tools, and if you
find that you have a better relationship with one or the other, it makes for
an easier decision.
