David,
I have uploaded a program I created for a situation very similar to yours. It is based on concepts from the redbook referenced by Charles starting around page 25. The code can be found at

Subject: Stop users from pressing C during session error
Hi
Manager just tempted a data entry manipulation and got a session error during a file operation. Telephoned the users and found that they knew about the problem since the program was installed in 2005. When it happens, they just reply cancel and go back to work.
Obviously, manager is not happy, but thankfully is more unhappy with the users who didn't report the bug than the developpers that made and supposedly tested it.
Is there a way of preventing users from doing this kind of thing, or at least a way of getting informed when the information gets logged?
Thanks.
