I just returned from 9 days in London and York - had no connectivity
problems in either place, including using my VLAN connection to the
iSeries. I stayed in Marriott's in London and a B&B in York.

Subject: Hotel internet access in the UK..

Hey,

Does internet access in the UK from 3 and 4 star hotels generally REALLY
SUCK or have I just happened to luck up on 10 or so hotels this month
that
just suck? It seems that in the UK "high speed internet" is about that
of
poor quality dialup lines! I'm talking Coppthorns, Milliniums,
Drurys.etc.
Speakeasy is calibrating these lines at 365k-down and 75k or so UP.
this is
just insanity!
