Hi All,
I have a web service that is running under the
integrated web server. The service will be called from .Net clients on
our local intranet. I need the web service on the i to be able to
identify the user that is connecting to the service so that only valid
users can access it.

Does anyone have any experience with this or could
someone point me in the right direction to start?

Thanks for any help ...

Look at the google services. The documentation describes how they
require you to log in with a SOAP request. Validation can be done with
the check password API. Sorry I can't access the doc on that at the
moment, but I recall it being pretty easy.
