I don't see why you need an API for this, unless the RMVLNK command is being called via QCMDEXC from an RPG program or something like that? If RMVLNK is called from a CL program, and passed a CL variable, you shouldn't have to double the single quotes!

But if I'm wrong, and RMVLNK doesn't work that way (making it atypical of IBM commands) or if this is coming from a non-CL program, then for sure using the unlink() API would be much easier.
