Carl

I will ancticipate a problem - besides my spelling!!

Be sure either to have your parameters defined as VARCHAR for character types - or have your SQL programmer cast the values to CHAR.

SQL on iSeries treats literal character values as VARCHAR and will not find the stored procedure if you defined it with CHAR.

I'm not sure I even know how to ask this question, as I am working with an
SQL programmer.
On my iSeries I have a stored procedure that I am using from an iseries
client that works just fine.
The SP has 14 parameters, all are input to the SP except parm 7 and 12, they
are returned variables.

The SQL program is not sure the proper syntax of how to call the SP and
return the variables. She is using SQL script. Does anyone here have an
example they can share as how in SQL Studio (using SQL Script) she can call
the SP and get the return variables?

Thanks,
cjg
