Just idle curiosity but suppose you were given a task to install x guested
6.1 lpars on a hosting 6.1 lpar. Would it be feasible to do load one up
with Lic, OS, LPP's and PTFs and then use WRKNWSSTG 3=Copy to create the
others and worry about the system name, comm, etc later?
Wouldn't that be a lot faster than stepping through installation for each?
Ok, now let's say you're the traveling consultant. Could you restore this
save of /QFPNWSSTG on a client's 6.1 Host? And then how would you
register that as a storage space? Or do you just have to create these
from scratch?
If it were an image catalog it's a no brainer to restore the stream file
and use ADDIMGCLGE to register the stream file as an image catalog entry.
However I don't think CRTNWSSTG supports NWSSIZE(*FROMFILE).
