Using the data file you have:

a) Create a numeric result field (COUNTER) , with a default value of 1.
b) Create an output file and add all the records and fields you have,
including the new one you created.
c) Create a second query report and sum the COUNTER field.

In here, you can change the size of the field in any way or form you want.
