Do you back up other servers across your network during the time this
transfer is running?  I know we use VERITAS Backup Exec to backup remote
servers across the LAN and it really ties up our bandwidth.

12 disks.  I'm not sure of the RAID or CPU feature.  But can those
really 
be the bottleneck?  It took 12 1/2 hours to transfer 12GB of data.  Even
a 
single disk can perform better than that.  This system wasn't doing 
anything else all night.

I have *AUTO/*AUTO and it is currently at 100M and *FULL which matches
the 
hardware capability.
