I wrote service program in RPG/ILE to do the put and get into the User
Queues. So much simpler. I did it in C also but what a job.

What is the language you are using?

I suspect that what's happening is that the dequeue in the first

is peeling off the message before the second can get it (and I've got

Given that the only APIs to user queues are the Create and Delete
functions you are using MI instructions (or built-ins) to ENQ and DEQ.
MI instruction require the structures passed in to be properly
aligned. Check your parameters.

Also, are you trying to pass a pointer WITHIN the queue message? If so
the entire message must be on a 16-byte boundary.
